This is the place if your family wants to stay in style: a pricey option, but one that provides the most luxurious accommodations and some of the best views in the park. Guests at the Ahwahnee can choose between hotel rooms and nearby cottages. Both have private baths and televisions, but like all rooms inside the park, do not offer air conditioning. The cottages, which sit under considerable tree shade and feature stone patios, are probably a better option for heat-sensitive visitors. Families should also note that while these rooms are the most luxurious in the park, they are not all that luxurious compared to, say, a five-star hotel in a big city. Rooms are cozy and decorated in a woodsy way that fit the setting, but don't expect a Jacuzzi in the bathroom!
