Overview

At the base of South Mountain preserve, the Arizona Grand Resort features 740 rooms and suites, with nine different configurations, across their expansive property. Suites come with a living area, separate bedrooms and a balcony. Kids will love the onsite Oasis Water Park, featuring water slides and wave pools. When you family has worked up an appetite, head over to one of the resort’s five restaurants. Kids will especially love Rustler’s Rooste, a cowboy-themed steakhouse. The Grand Adventures Kids Club runs a morning and an afternoon session daily for children ages 5 to 12. Every day kids are met with a daily theme and fun activities, like games and crafts. The club is included in your hotel rate, but advanced registration is necessary, as it fills up fast.

Beware Resort Fee. It’s a rip off!

by London_EnglandPaul

This resort charges a resort fee of 60USD on top of the price you’ve paid for your suite and it’s a rip off.
The resort advertises it has 7 swimming pools, but they are small pools and one is only a plunge pool. They also advertise a water park but that is only open at weekends at off peak times.
The resort fee is to pay for wifi, swimming pools and the gym according to the reception staff, who seem very versed in trying to justify the resort fee. The wifi in the hotel has two speeds, a normal speed which is included in your fee but is actually rather slow. They have a premium wifi as well, which you have pay more for.
The water park at weekends offers a day pass For a price of 30USD which you could pay to use the park if you stayed elsewhere.
You can get all of what this resort offers in a holiday inn or any of the chain hotels without having to pay a resort fee. The only difference is this place is big but it does not warrant such an extortionate resort fee.
The lobby grill is the only restaurant we used and I can recommend their breakfast buffet, that certainly was good value for money but only at weekends. All you can eat with drinks for 18USD per adult and 12USD for kids.
Overall I won’t be staying here again, this is cost and then their hidden cost.

Wonderful Siham

Great stay at the resort for a 4 day Apple Conference, and a super shout out to Siham for her hospitality, graciousness and beautiful smile. She was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my team and I were fully satisfied. Thank you Siham!
