Aspen Family Friendly Restaurants
534 East Copper AvenueAspen, CO 970-925-6610
A traditional diner complete with old photos and memorabilia lining the walls, this kid-friendly hotspot serves up lunch and dinner daily. The standards are here: burgers, fries and milkshakes, all affordably priced.
Snowmass VillageAspen, CO 970-923-8715
Just 10 minutes by free shuttle from Aspen awaits Snowmass Mountain -- definitely worthy of a dinner visit when you and the family visit the Burlingame Cabin. Reservations are a must for this 32-seater restaurant serving ski-in lunches but it's their Tuesday night Western BBQ dinner that's a real treat. Departing from Snowmass Village Mall at 5 p.m., guests will ride up the mountain in a snowcat. $72 per adult, $29 per child, ages 3 to 11. (Prices do not include service charge, tax or alcoholic beverages.)
411 East Main StreetAspen, CO 970-925-3663
Located in a large building on the corner of Main Street is a wallet-friendly Mexican restaurant serving up quesadillas, enchiladas and fajitas for lunch and dinner daily. A kids' menu is offered, but my kids never seem to want anything more than chips and queso dip appetizer.
517 East Hyman AvenueAspen, CO 970-925-1098
One of Aspen's oldest restaurants has been voted time and time again by locals as the perfect burger joint. Lunch and dinner include ribs, chicken, sandwiches, salads, fish and, of course, burgers.
633 East Hyman AvenueAspen, CO 970-925-3357
When you want to feel like you've escaped to the slopes of Europe, a visit to Wienerstube will feel like you just stepped off an Alpine mountain. Serving up tradition Austrian fare like bratwurst and wiener schnitzel, this restaurant just celebrated its 45th anniversary. Continental fare like steak, pork and fish are also featured, as well as a kids' menu for the less adventurous toddler. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
