Great location right at the beach

by Lisbeth B

Great location in a calm area right at the beach. The area consist of several 3 floors bungalows in a green area which makes it nice and open.
The rooms was nice and clean with a small fridge and a nice coffee machine. We had a sofa bed for the kids, which was a bit hard.
The balcony is good for 2 people - but there is nowhere to hang the wet swimwear and you will be told off by a policeman if you use the railing (we know...).
The pool was nice but the jacuzzi was not too clean (probably because guests forget to shower before getting in...).
There is a great restaurant next to the hotel "Lava Lava" where you sit in the sand on the beach.
The parking is free - but you pay $20 in resort fee.

Can’t make it up

by tallpaulmuller

Nice place, beautiful grounds and shore. Lumpy mattress with no box spring , joke pillow.
Woody Allen described whistle shrieking water pipes as sounding like a small animal being tortured between the walls. Well ok. Management has to know, they aren’t going to fix these things. Then, and you can’t make this up. Last day of the stay a bug as big as your tallest finger , on the bedroom floor at mid day, doing a convincing impression of a cockroach. Really? At an Aston property? I presented it to the manager. A very brief, quit apology . That’s it. Checked out next morning. You have to have some minimum standards.
