Atlantic City Boardwalk

Atlantic City, 08401, NJ

Built in 1870, Atlantic City’s boardwalk was only ever intended to keep sand away from the area’s high-end, beachfront hotels and railroad passenger cars. Today, it’s lined with the city’s celebrated casinos and hotels, restaurants and shops. There’s not much for families to do (unless your children like shopping), but kids will enjoy a visit to Steel Pier and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum.

The Atlantic City Boardwalk suffered damage during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, but much of it was limited to secondary areas and did not affect the main strip.
