Constitution Gardens is a 50-acre park with a lake and island, in the shadow of Washington Monument on the National Mall. Dedicated during America’s Bicentennial celebration, the gardens features a memorial honoring the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. The National Park Service offers information on the memorial and gardens and children can earn Junior Ranger badges.
