Devil’s Bridge

Attraction

For a thrilling look at the power of Mother Nature, you can’t beat this breathtaking bit of scenery, a natural stone bridge where the powerful ocean wore away the limestone beneath. You’ll be treated to glorious views — and a bit of dark history — the area earned its name because despairing sugar plantation slaves often threw themselves off the bridge into the churning, deadly waters below. Warning: This is an uneven rocky terrain that can be tough on toddlers and small kids, and impossible to navigate with a stroller. Keep kids far from the edge, as the ocean crashes powerfully and unexpectedly against the cliff. Even if your guides decide to brave the waves and cross the bridge itself, don’t try it, as people have been knocked off the bridge by the waves and drowned.
