Take a self-guided tour of the oldest jail in Maine, which dates back to 1719. Young children will be fascinated by the old jail cells and graffiti by former prisoners, along with the chance to have their photo taken in the stocks.

Admission
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 16. If you buy an all-day ticket ($12 for adults and $8 for kids), it’ll grant you access to other area museums.

Hours
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, and 1 to 5 on Sunday. It’s closed on Mondays, except for some holidays.
