Salem Witch Museum

Washington Square North, Salem, 01970, MA

Learn about the history of the Salem witch trials of the 17th century at the Salem Witch Museum. Through a life-size set, with lighting, moving figures and more, the stories of the 20 “witches” who were brought to trial are told and guests see the truth behind the tales. Live guides walk visitors through the museum and explain the history. Other exhibits include information on witches in general and the evolving perception in society. During Salem’s Haunted Happenings in October, the museum offers extended hours and fun events and activities, like costumed-characters and parades. The museum is open year-round from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 7 p.m. in July and August. Admission is $9.50 for adults and $6.50 for children 6 to 14; the museum may not be suitable for children under 6.
