When you used to be Great...

by Angel L

I used to really love this hotel. I had been there when year prior, and I was completely satisfied with my stay. My son and I were in the area this year, and I cannot wait to bring him back to one of my favorite hotels. Let’s just say, he looked at me like I was insane the whole time, because this is not the same hotel that I stayed at a year ago.
Nothing was horrible, but everything was mediocre, at best. First off, they charged me twice for my room, as well as taking $100 deposit. So that means I had approximately almost $350 taken out of my account, for one night there. Secondly, the music was so insanely loud, that neither me nor my son could fall asleep until after 3:30 in the morning. They do not have a coffeemaker in the room like every other hotel in America, you have to specifically request it, and only then will they bring it. Which specifically sucked for me, because at 3:30 I cannot fall asleep so I just stayed up for the evening until we would leave in the morning while my son rested. I went downstairs to inquire about where in the world a coffee maker could be, and I was told that I can have it after 6 AM when the housekeepers get there. Which they did bring, and they do bring a nice spread when they do, it’s just very inconvenient. There is no microwave in the room. So when I finally went to go eat my dinner and got it out of the refrigerator, I had to eat it cold. They give you two pillows per bed, & the pillows are tiny as heck. They need to put two more per bed, per person. There was a man smoking weed under my balcony at night, which I was on the lowest floor possible, so he was right by me, that was interesting.
All in all I can say that I will not be back, and I’m very disappointed with my stay, and what this place has turned into.

Best visit to Tampa

We moved to the Godfrey from another Hotel and were thrilled with the property, location, service, value, cleanliness. This was by far the most pleasant, accommodating stay I have had in Tampa. I would not hesitate to advise others to consider staying. You will not be disappointed. Thank you staff!
