Being a single parent, and my childres first 'excursion' out of the country, I opted for uniqueness but also appealing to all of the ages I was traveling with. (at the time 10; 14; 16). We stayed in a little resort named BEACHES AND DREAMS in more +Hopkins, Belize. It couldn't have any more PERFECT! If you have ever dreamt of 'Cabanas' right on the beach....this place is for you! This is not for the 'faint of heart' but more for the 'adventuresome spirit'.....there isn't any air conditioning, clocks, TV....its what vacation dreams are made of...it almost 'forces' you into the right mindset!

Tony and Angie (owners) are VERY ACCOMODATING, helping us to find the right excursions (and those included, but not limited to: hiking in the Rainforest/jungle; Kayaking (free for guest), nighttime crocodile hunt; snorkelling, horseback riding (like you have never done before....) to name a few.....

The staff was also wonderful, we all felt like family by the time we left.....

The weather was PERFECT, scenery peaceful and beautiful, and the restaurant (located right at Beaches and Dreams), the Barracuda Bar and Grill, was nothing less than phenominal. As my older son put in his guest book, 'Tony even makes a sandwich like a gourmet meal'.

For kids that at first glanced 'freaked at no TV, no internet (even tho he does have wireless), no cell phones, no Xboxes......they ALL cannot wait to return to the same destination. I give it a five star rating all the way!
