The beautiful beaches are the highlight at Beaches Negril. Included with your stay are all sorts of water sports including windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, and rides on their banana boat. The resort also has three pools, two with swim-up bars. There are daily activities for everyone including table tennis, miniature golf, and beach volleyball.
Beaches has a Kids' Camp, which is run by certified staff, and is included in your all-inclusive stay. The camp runs from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and welcomes kids of all ages, newborns through teenagers. Camp activities vary by age group, but kids will take part in activities like swimming, snorkeling shell collecting, face painting, treasure hunts, glass-bottom boat rides, and reggae jam sessions. Babysitting is also available in the evenings, for a fee.
As a sponsor of Sesame Street, Beaches Resorts offers younger kids a chance to meet Elmo and his friends. There are Sesame Street stage shows, story time with Elmo, cooking with the Cookie Monster, character breakfasts, and dancing with Zoe.
Pirates Island Water Park, an 18,000 square foot water playground at the resort, has two gigantic waterslides and a refreshing lazy river that flows around the island. There are spiraling tunnels, arched bridges, water cannons, a plunge pool, misting pool, a pool bar and snack/soda bar and a self-serve ice cream machine.
The XBOX 360 gaming center is a hit with older kids and this Beaches location also has Liquid, a disco for tweens and teens. Funky wave-adorned walls and Technicolor lights abound, and the club hosts guest DJs. Kids under 21 are welcomed, but no parents allowed! Another cool activity for tweens and teens is the Scratch DJ Academy, a class that teaches you how to mix, blend and scratch on vinyl, CD's or your iPod. A free intro class is available, and other classes will run you $25-$50. Tweens have their own hangout at Trench Town.
