One of the largest resorts on the Gulf of Mexico, the 20-acre TradeWinds is full of kid-friendly amenities that are sure to impress its youngest guests. The Floating Water Park in the Gulf of Mexico sits 60 feet off the resort"s shoreline and offers 11 features for jumping, climbing and more. There is also a 3-story High Tide Slide on the beach. Other highlights include the weekly complimentary Captain RedBeard"s Pirate Show, KONK Kid"s Club for ages 4 to 11 and five heated swimming pools. All hotel rooms and suites come with kitchenettes. Located right on the beach on this beautiful barrier island adjacent to St. Petersburg, the Residence Inn St. Petersburg Treasure Island has 105 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites. The suites not only feature the extra room families appreciate, but also kitchens and floor-to-ceiling doors that open to private lanais offering Gulf views. It"s nice to have the kitchen, but you won"t have to use it for breakfast with a full hot American breakfast included in the rates. There are also evening social events a few nights a week.
