Overview

The Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel is a large-scale property located close to Bryce Canyon National Park. The hotel is pretty large compared to most of the smaller local properties — which means families staying at the Bryce Canyon Grand can take advantage of a host of convenient onsite amenities, from a fitness center to a free airport shuttle. Plus, all rates include daily complimentary hot buffet breakfast.

Although the hotel doesn’t offer child care, it does have plenty of features that will keep the youngsters entertained. Guests can splash around in a heated outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool located in the hotel’s courtyard. The steamy whirlpool is a welcome retreat after a long day of hiking (because of the area’s high altitude, temperatures are on the chilly side for most of the year). On-demand movies are available on in-room TV’s. And nearby attractions — from Bryce Canyon National Park to Western-themed dinner shows — are just a stone’s throw away.

Reviews

Great hotel, accommodating staff

by timetravellers1010

Huge rooms, nice architecture and decoration, rich breakfast. Eight minutes drive to Bryce Canyon entrance. A couple of restaurants nearby. We had some issues with a double booking, staff was very accommodating in resolving it. Recommended, I hope we'll visit again.

Great Hotel

by Lightbeing1

The rooms are huge, at least ours was! Also a very big bathroom with a jetted tub which I really enjoyed after hiking. The breakfast was pretty good as far as hotel breakfast goes. Helpful staff as my husband left his watch and they found it and mailed it to us.

Family Activities

Bryce Canyon National Park
Utah's Bryce Canyon's fantastical rock formations that tower over the slopes are the main attraction in this national park, that features eight different day-hiking trails, horseback riding and an impressive calendar of mostly free ranger-led activities (including lots of programs just for kids), it's almost impossible to get bored in Bryce.

Pool
The outdoor pool is heated so kids can swim and splash no matter the time of year, and parents can relax poolside.

Ebnezer's Bar and Grill
A Western-style dinner show located adjacent to the hotel held nightly from May through October at 7 p.m. Admission includes dinner (choose from four entrees) and a cowboy-themed musical theater performance. Kids will enjoy the singing cowboys, and Western dishes like cornbread, coleslaw and chicken.

Family Dining

Free Breakfast
The free breakfast at this Best Western is a fantastic touch. Families can get up early, hit the buffet and be ready to hike early in the morning without having to drive to an area restaurant. Foods served in the buffet include eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, fruit, muffins and more. There is also a selection of juices, coffees and teas.

While there aren't any onsite restaurants for lunch or dinner, there are several restaurants within walking distance from the Best Western.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Laundry
The coin-operated laundry room at the hotel makes packing light a breeze. If you don't want to bring quarters, you can get change at the front desk or at Ruby's General Store across the street.

Business Center
There's a business center at the hotel with computers that have a printer and Internet access. This comes in handy when you need to print our boarding passes for your flight home, and you can use the Internet to research directions, and local activities and restaurants.

Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel.

The Art of Smart Timing
Be sure to make your reservations well in advance if you're planning on traveling during summer. But keep in mind that rates are highest during summer months, which is the busiest time of year for travel to the Bryce Canyon area.

Getting There
Bryce Canyon is accessible via Salt Lake City or Las Vegas, both of which are about 270 miles from the airports.

Getting Around
A car is required to get to the Bryce Canyon National Park, but you'll want one to take in the scenic drives, too.

For Mom and Dad
The adults will love the convenient location to Bryce Canyon National Park.
