Lake View room

by lenniemejia

I booked a lake view room for additional $10 and I thought, why not? Well, first of all, the hotel lobby was cozy and decorated perfectly with a grand fireplace. There are abundant information around for activities to book. The restaurant was also inside and a big gift shop (behind gift shop is a camping store). The check in process was easy even though there was a line. However, when we got to our room, I was expecting a view of the lake. I am not sure if that was a lake or a pond. Our room was on the first floor so I can't even enjoy the view as the parking was in front of our door. Their breakfast was great though. There was plenty of selection.

Busy hotel close to Bryce Canyon National Park

by Salil G

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, which is very close to the main entrance of Bryce Canyon national park. A limited number of hotels in this area certainly make for booming business at Ruby's.

The hotel has one main lodge building, and several other buildings (lodges as they call them) with rooms for guests. The restaurants, gift/convenience store, registration lobby etc. are all located in the main lodge.

When you get to the main lodge to check in, do not take all your luggage and stuff to the main lobby. First find out which building you are assigned to. You will most likely be assigned to one of the outlying lodges and will need to drive there anyway. So please check in first and then unload all your stuff.

Our room was clean, comfortable and decently sized. The furniture was a bit dated and scuffed but that was okay for us. Wifi was fast and quite dependable (not that we used Wifi that much).

Breakfast as included in our room rate. The buffet breakfast included eggs, bacon, fruits, yogurt, waffles etc. (Fairly standard fare). The breakfast restaurant can get crowded if there are tour buses around (which almost always there are).

The DO NOT have a bar in this hotel.

There is a liquor store of sorts - but this closes at 10.00pm and is probably not open on Sundays. There arent any other bars nearby.

Overall a good choice in this area. I dont have too many complaints.
