Wineries for Families

I received the coolest press package today from Paso Robles in California. A big winery destination, they pointed out the many wineries that welcomed families. For example, Ancient Peaks Winery offers a zip line adventure and tour, while Clautiere Winery has a virtual fun house with wigs and mirror room. Eberle Winery offers bocce ball and a tour of underground caves, and Pithy Little Wine Company provides tastings of its sodas. At Tobin James, kids can play free video games, while at Le Vigne and Pomar Junction, they can explore old-fashioned rail cars.

Next month, Paso Robles, which is located between Los Angeles and Big Sur, California, will also be hosting its 30th annual Wine Festival and Festival of the Arts, May 18 to 20 and May 25 to 27, respectively.

I always thought of wineries as romantic destinations to visit without the kids. Now that I know wineries are welcoming families and providing activities for kids, I think it’s time to start looking into our local wineries to see who else is offering family fun!

Do you know of any wineries that are family friendly? Tell us!
