British Virgin Islands Family Restaurants

Pusser's Landing, Frenchman's Cay, West End, has water views and good seafood chowder, jerk chicken and grilled fish. The restaurant is also known for its pies.

Quito's Gazebo, on the beach at Cane Garden Bay, is a casual restaurant that serves sandwiches, salads, conch fritters and grilled fish for lunch and dinner. After dinner, the owner -- Quito Rymer, also a musician -- sometimes performs.

The Soggy Dollar Bar, named for the wet bills proffered by the yachties and other sailors who wade ashore (there's no dock), packs them in for lunch. The cafe serves chicken roti, conch fritters, crab cakes, grilled cheese, salads and other simple fare at the beachfront tables. You might have to wait for your lunch, since the place is popular. Kids, however, won't mind because they'll be splashing in the water or swaying in the palm-tree-shaded hammocks. The restaurant serves dinner, as well.

The Bath & Turtle, Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, Spanish Town, serves pizza, pasta, ginger chicken wings and other pub fare, plus entrees like grilled chicken and seafood. The place is packed during afternoon happy hours.

The Restaurant at Leverick Bay, Leverick Bay, North Sound, serves pizza and sandwiches for lunch. For dinner, entrees range from local Anegada lobster and prime rib to grilled ahi tuna, wahoo and other fish. A children's menu is also available. On Friday nights, the restaurant serves a barbecue buffet.
