Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is a lovely home-base for those wanting digs near the sands. The cheerful accommodations range from double rooms with two queen beds to condo units. And there are lots of highlights for families, including an onsite activities center with arts and crafts sessions, karaoke and more, as well as items available for check-out, such as boogie boards, sand toys, and even bikes and joggers.

Review based on pool construction

We booked for four nights through AirBnB. Check in was fine, the room smelled musty but running the air and heat cleared that up.

The issue was the next morning as our room was next to the construction going on the pool. Jackhammers forced us to leave our room and made it impossible to use most of the amenities that the $22 per day resort fee we were charged. When I asked why we were being charged the full amount we were told that that was the policy. Now I can understand why they keep asking you if you want to buy one of their foreclosed time shares.

The location is excellent and could be a great place but not during the construction that is going on.

The staff at this facility were so accommodating and pleasant. I had a very late flight out and they made me comfortable and helped me with many small but heartfelt things. As a new traveller these people were absolutely incredible! A big shout out to Salvador for his dedication to helping me. I would rate him as OUTSTANDING in every way. Also a big thanks to Odalys, Jennifer and Katie too. Wonderful people. Incredible staff at this facility.
