Overview

The most exciting thing about Carousel Resort Hotel & Condominiums is their world famous indoor ice-skating rink. If the kids are not into ice-skating, surely they will love the indoor and outdoor heated pools. Maybe your kids are the indoor type and would prefer to hang out in the arcade room? Either way, the Carousel seems to cover every base. They even have a third kiddie pool for the young ones. In addition to condominiums, every hotel room is equipped with a microwave, a compact refrigerator and a sink. You have the choice of an oceanfront view. There’s no need for an oven when you have a few restaurant choices downstairs. Kids get breakfast free, two each per one paying adult. The resort runs professional ice-skating shows and movies on the beach during the summer. Chincoteague Island is a short eight-mile drive away. Visiting this unique beach of wild horses is something you will not want to miss; however, there is plenty to do at the resort itself.

Miracle on Ice

by Linda C

While our entire experience was great, my twins had their most enjoyable time ice skating. The fact that they could ( and did) skate for hours, met wonderful new friends, talked and laughed with great Hotel staff, made this a very worthwhile and enjoyable trip. Parents could relax at the cafe above rink and enjoy food and drinks, watch TV, talk, while kids skated safely just below. I don't remember when we've had a more relaxing and fun filled vacation.

Old but fun hotel - pretty clean

We stayed here for a youth hockey tournament. So incredibly fun for the kids and I am a snob for hotels but The Carousel was fine as long as you go into it with reasonable expectations. If you want a very cool, A/C room do not get a room facing the indoor rink.
