Rude staff, noisy, overpriced, but clean and modern with good food options

Rude staff, dismissive and unattentive, noisy with road works, street callers, thin walls, overpriced for the area, but clean and modern rooms with amenities (but no water bottles...) with good food options nearby and in the hotel floor

Excellent Hotel in Downtown Charlotte

by jimtons

This is a reasonably large hotel in downtown Charlotte. I am guessing that it is new. The hotel is rather stylish. The rooms are excellent and a little different. Instead of the usual desk, there is a long bench like couch against the window with a round table to do work at. The bathroom is perhaps a little smaller than some but very attractive and again rather modern with an excellent shower. The meeting rooms were excellent and the downstairs restaurant, Stoke, was excellent. I had a french classic, a frissee salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon with a grilled chicken breast added. It was perfect and the coffee is wonderful. The staff was extremely nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
