Overview

The Comfort Inn is ideal for families who want to stay somewhere clean and quiet without being far away from area attractions. Nestled in the hills just outside Deadwood, it’s a nice place to get away from the crowds that descend on the casino strip.

If you get tired of driving yourself around, take advantage of their free shuttle, which is available to take you downtown and back. Although there’s no onsite restaurant, the hotel does serve a complimentary breakfast, so you can eat in the morning before heading out for the day. When you’re not out touring the Black Hills, you can take the kids to enjoy the pool onsite, or the arcade, bumper boats, mini-golf, and go-carts in the small adventure park next door.

Newer hotel in town

by maddiekitty

Hotel looks relatively new or recently refurbished. Rooms were comfortable and quiet . Had a upper floor room with good view out the window. Town shuttle comes every hour till about midnight on weekends so going to town was a breeze and avoid the DUI if you we partying in town, plus it goes all around to the north side of town if you want to try your luck at other locations. Missed the breakfast because we were out late and slept in. Got restaurant tips from the courteous housekeepers when we arrived that were busy cleaning up. We were 1 day ahead of un seasonal snow storm coming so not much time to play mini golf looked fun though

Week in Badlands and South Dakota

by barbCarlinv

Stayed in Deadwood while visiting South Dakota. We picked Deadwood because of it was about 1 Hour away from Mount Rushmore, Custer, and Devils Tower. 2 Hours to Badlands. We would travel during day and then do downtown Deadwood at night. This Comfort Inn is not downtown.. But parking downtown is tough. Comfort Inn has a Trolley that picks up every hour and has alot of stops to get on and off for a dollar a trip it is worth it. Hotel was great had a suite and it was perfect. Staff was wonderful. Would stay here again.
