Very Loud Freeway Noise

by Mary A

Unless you are a traveler who can sleep thru cars, trucks and 18 wheelers roaring down busy I-264, you should stay elsewhere. The property backs directly against the freeway. Also, there is a commercial construction site next door with the associated disruption. The driveway to this dated hotel is a gravel filled ditch which is unmarked, unlit and unsafe. If you like Marriott, there is a SpringHill and a TownePlace very close by. There's also a Hampton. As an aside, I asked the property manager for directions to the freeway entrance and she had no clue. Maybe it's just me but I think every customer facing hotel staffer should know the directions to the airport and freeway.

Clean and Comfortable

by Keymcgrip

I spent 4 days at the Courtyard by Marriott on Greenwich Road in a suite with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and outdoor pool. My accommodations were clean and comfortable. WIFI was excellent. TV offerings could have been better--more standard def channels than HD. The TV in the living room had that annoying default setting to present all programs in 16:9, which was correctable by going into the menu. My room was quiet. Some of the rooms face a major highway project across the street. Not sure how noisy that would be.

Breakfast is not included with the room, but there is a wee "bistro" where one can order over a counter. They might have other offerings in other dayparts; I took my lunch and dinner elsewhere. Beer and wine are also available.

The location was nothing special but close to a highway, so handy enough. The immediate neighbors consist mostly of other hotels. Guests at the Marriott won't be walking to shops or restaurants.
