Our family of six went to Cancun for a family vacation in early June. We stayed at the Crown Paradise. It was very family oriented. The staff was fun and entertaining. The Crown Paradise is an all inclusive resort. We really enjoyed having more +everything on site.

With four daughters, my husband and I didn't have to worry about meals or activities. We had plenty of adult time. The girls had a blast at the pools, water slides, mini golf, and the evening entertainment. Our room was a family suite. It had a king bed upstairs, and downstairs had bunk beds with a pull out trundle and a full size bed. Our girls were so happy to each get their own bed. The restaurants on site were great. There were plenty of options to pick from. We all went to bed full. We are not drinkers, but the smoothies and pop were plentiful. I would definitely go to this resort again. I give it 5 splashes.

Our family of four had a fun, relaxing vacation at the Crown Paradise Club. This resort is definitely geared toward families, with programs for children from toddler age to teens. Our kids, 12 and 14, didn't partake in many activities--not because more +they didn't like what was offered, but because they didn't want much "structured time."

The restaurants were diverse and overall very good. The pools were nice, but one word of caution for those who like to lounge by the pool or on the beach for hours (we aren't among them; a curse of fair skin). There aren't enough chairs to meet the demand, so people wake up early to claim pool and beach chairs by draping their hotel-issued towels over them. They might disappear for a few more hours before they actually use the chairs, but they're considered "reserved" and it's funny how others avoid them even though no one's around. It wasn't an issue for us, but I can see how it might be frustrating for some folks.

The best quality was the friendly and helpful service, especially at the restaurants. And its location on the outer fringe, yet within easy reach, of Cancun nightlife/busy shopping areas made it a relatively peaceful place to stay at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel.

Overall the Crown Paradise was a good value for the money. The pros are definitely family oriented resort, beautiful beach, waterslides, lots of things for kids to do (basketball, ping pong, game room, movie theatre, zip line, rock climbing), etc., more +great service, close to the airport, adults only swim-up bars and pool area, and good variety of food.

The cons are it is difficult to make reservations at the restaurants as they have one person taking the calls. Also, pool chairs are taken everyday by 6am so if you want to lounge, get up early. After a few days, we didn't care anymore and just hung out on the beach. Also, be careful of your resort towel. People take them because they lose their own and don't want to pay the $35 to replace it. Our family brought our own beach towels from home so we never used their towels. I didn't want to risk our kids misplacing them and having to pay $35 to get a new one.

We had a great vacation!

Crown Paradise was a wonderful resort for our family. We were there for 10 days.. The kids met up with a group of teens from all corners of the world and still stay in contact with some of them. We enjoyed quality family time but also had time by more +ourselves. We had a two room suite so we had our space as they had theirs. It is totally geared for families:) We are heading back a four short months
