Attractions in the hotel's indoor, 65,00-square-foot CoCo Key Water Resort include four, twisting, body and raft waterslides; activity pool with lily pads to cross and basketballs to shoot; zero-depth entry pool with waves; hot tubs; a giant dumping bucket and climbing structure with water cannons and mini-slides; and an "adventure river" with innertubes. Movies are shown on a giant "Dip-In Theater" screen. Just outside the water play area is a large sunning area with cascading towers of water to splash in. Also part of the Coco Key Water Resort is the Key Quest Arcade, just steps from the water play area, filled with video games and arcade games.
If you plan on spending an entire day at the indoor water park, consider renting a private cabana (with an island-themed thatched roof) as your home base; it comes with lounge chairs, refrigerator, safe for valuables, and, somewhat bizarrely, a television.
Coco Key Water Resort is open to the public, with day passes; hotel guests can book packages that include admittance to the water park. One popular weekend package includes not only water park passes, but also points to use at the arcade and a family pizza dinner. While the water park is open daily all summer long, it closes mid-week during the school year, so plan your visit accordingly.
The hotel's indoor lap pool is a nice respite from the loud and sometimes-chaotic waterpark play area; hotel guests with children are welcome to use this complimentary amenity in an atrium-like setting; there's an outdoor lounging area adjacent to this pool also. Jogging trails are located near the property.
