We just got back from vacation yesterday. This place is awesome.

The food was great and the waitress had their own acts to. You definitely got enough food for you to be full. There is a boat right outside the hotel that takes you to more +Magic Kingdom.Which is even better than the Disney buses. The boat ride is very short and you don't have to wait for other stops...you go straight to the park.

The weather was too cold for swimming...our kids loved how it looked and the neat slide to.There is a cool geyser, like the one in Yellowstone National Park. My kids loved the bunk beds in to. The rooms were great and the bathrooms were clean. The shower had lots of water pressure and hot water to.If you get the meal plan from Disney with the free refillable mugs...you can go and get coffee in your mugs without leaving the hotel and its a 2 minute walk...there is a great coffee maker(they supply great coffee)in the room...but I like cold cream in my coffee.

Everything was great for the 3 days we stayed.I tried to book another vacation there before we left and for the time I wanted to come back...they were all booked up,that has to say a lot about this hotel.

Lets start by saying that any trip that includes Disney and kids is Crazy!!!! There is so much to see and do between all the parks that at times it seems a bit of a whirlwind. For the moms the shopping outlet is close by about a 5 minute drive the more +dads there is plenty of golf and for the kids.............endless and I mean ENDLESS amounts of entertainment and fun.

The hotel was expensive but to be expected. Love the wild life out the windows............really really cool. Food anywhere in Disney is pricey, again to be expected. All in all for our family of five from Calgary, Canada costed us $5000.00 which included flights, hotel, meals, park passes and shopping.

Our next family trip we are going to try the all-inclusive side and see how that works!!!

My husband and I ventured here alone for our 35th Anniversary. Having stayed at other Disney properties, this was our first at this resort. I wasn't sure how my very picky husband would take to this, but he really did end of loving this one.

The spacious lobby was gorgeous. The restaurants were better than expected. We were upgraded to a pool view which was very quiet, even though we were skeptical at first.

It was very easy to get to the Parks by bus, and the Magic Kingdom by water taxi.

All in all, I would recommend this resort to any age group. The kids seemed to love the pool and grounds. I know we had a "Magical" experience.

Our stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge was glorious. From the details of the sculpted totem poles in the lobby to the wooded wonderland we viewed form our room. Hidden Mickey's were a delight to be found by young and old alike and the attention to more +detail was spectacular. We enjoyed our stay in a bunk room and the meals at the fine and casual dining were scrumptious!

The location was great as we were a short distance from most major attractions and were provided with a variety of transportation. The pools were wonderful and the lake was beautiful! Our family of 4 was delighted with our stay and would recommend the Wilderness Lodge to travelers of any age.

Our family has been visiting Disney since it opened! Great memories here. There are several luxury Disney hotels to choose from, and they all have similar amenities. The Wilderness lodge is our favorite. If you love the feeling of being in an more +authentic Yellowstone park lodge, the Wilderness lodge is for you. Huge fireplace, soaring ceiling, huge log cabin, fun swimming pool that simulates a river, and of course Old Faithful is out back! The free boat transportation takes you to the Magic Kingdom. The fun restaurant serves all you care to eat, plus they have a cafe for quick dining. I always request a room inside the main building, with a balcony that overlooks the atrium. The rooms are not huge or fancy, but more of what you might expect in the wilderness! Of all Disney luxury hotels, this one is more budget friendly, especially in the off-season.

Physically, from the outside, Disney World's Wilderness Lodge looks fantastic as you should expect for a Deluxe resort!!! But for over $300 per night for the room, It was a large rip-off. The rooms were just like any average hotel/motel you stay more +in. The food in the main restaurant was very pricey and mediocre at best.

Twice before, on other trips to Disney World, we have stayed at both Port Orleans resorts. These are intermediate level resort, are they were far superior than the Wilderness lodge in all respects and for substantially less money. When we go to Disney World again, we will stay at Port Orleans again !!!

There were 3 families and we really enjoyed this hotel. Each time I visit Disney, I enjoy a different accommodation. This was so far, the best one we tried. From the fun at the pool to the restaurants, the kids had a ball, and was more +marveled at the huge lobby. The Wilderness Lodge is a great family place. We found everything we needed right there.

We went to Disney World and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We had an amazing time!!

The best:

Of course, number one is the location is so close to Magic Kingdom. It was so easy! We had stayed at a value resort more +before, but the money is well worth the upgrade to Wilderness Lodge. The ferry was always a very short wait and a pleasant and cool trip in the hot Florida sun to Magic Kingdom. Buses were always available for all other parks.

Wilderness Lodge is absolutely beautiful and has a feeling of being in the woods but in a resort. Our room faced the pool. (courtyard) So, we were able to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks (some of the higher ones anyway) from our room! :) The geyser shoots off every hour and is beautiful! Wilderness lodge is not on the monorail, but you do pay more for the hotels on the monorail. So, wilderness is a great alternative with all the deluxe perks while it is not as costly.

The pool is very nice with a waterslide that our girls used constantly. They also had led afternoon pool parties with singing and dancing. It was a lot of fun with popular music and dances that the kids loved!

Dining:

The quick service area "Roaring Forks" was nice and clean. It was a bit difficult to find a seat at peak times with such a small dining area. But, the food was fine.
The restaurant in the lobby is well worth your time. The food was delicious and it was such a fun atmosphere! Be sure and ask for ketchup!

We will definitely stay at Wilderness Lodge again, and if you love Magic Kingdom, this is the resort for you!
