The Sleeping Beauty Castle sits majestically at the entrance of Fantasyland. The castle, an architectural wonder with 22-karat gold leaf and towers soaring 77 feet into the air, is also a stage area for special events and shows.

The sweet names of the rides in Fantasyland may lull you into a false sense of safety -- but some are too dark and scary for little ones. Peter Pan's Flight takes riders on a "flying" pirate ship. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pinocchio's Daring Journey and Snow White's Scary Adventures can frighten younger kids. You'll also find the Mad Tea Party (the beloved tea cups), Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Ariel's Grotto (where Ariel welcomes kids for photos) in this section of the park. And even if you're worried that you'll never get the Small World tune out of your head, stop by anyway. It's a small, small price to pay for delighted children.

Frontierland is the perfect spot for a wild west adventure. Hop on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a rip-roaring (but not too scary) ride down a mountain. A great show takes place at the Golden Horseshoe Stage, where master bluegrass fiddlers, brothers Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, entertain. Kids love Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island -- here, you'll find a rock climbing wall, caves, a tree house and plenty of shade for tired parents.

Here, you'll find stroller rentals (singles only) at $12 each, Walt's beloved Disneyland Railroad that circles the park and a yesteryear theater, the Main Street Cinema, featuring Mickey's first six cartoons.

New Orleans Square is beautifully modeled after the real Big Easy, and is home to two classic, wildly popular rides. The Haunted Mansion brings a spooky New Orleans mansion to life. And the famous Pirates of the Caribbean ride, a magical journey through a world of animatronic pirates that spawned its own blockbuster, is a delight.

Disney's famous parades change names and formats every few years, but all are colorful, exciting and a wonder to behold. For great viewing, camp in front of Small World in Fantasyland.

Tomorrowland offers Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, the Rocket Jets (like Dumbo, the rockets fly in a circle), and the very impressive Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. Space Mountain (a roller coaster that ricochets through the dark) is a thrill for older kids and parents alike. StarTours, one of the best attractions in the park, also tends to frighten the younger set, so watch out.
