The Disney Caribbean Beach Resort was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and roomy, the pool was fun for the kids. The scenery was gorgeous... we walked around the lake while the kids were on a pirate cruise... it was nice for some more +time alone.
The pirate cruise was not all that great for the kids, though. The staff was late getting there, and brought the kids back early. The promised lunch was a snack bag of chips, and they just went out on a small boat for a while. Not worth the money spent on it. The dining was OK... a good variety and quantity of food, and plenty to eat, but nothing all that great -- fast food like. The buses to the parks were very few and unorganized. We waited quite a while to get on most of the time, but were able to board right aways a few times. Since we didn't stay at the resort very long (spent most our times at the parks), I would have opted to stay at one of the value resorts. If you're looking to spend more time at the resort, the Caribbean Beach is a nice place to stay (calm and relaxing), and I would recommend it as long as you're not in a hurry to get anywhere.

In March, my husband, son and I stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It is a moderate level at Disney. We were there for only two nights, but we packed in lots of fun at the parks. Our son (age 10) really loved the main pool. It has an old more +Spanish flair with ships and water shooting cannons. He loved the water slide also.

This hotel is laid out in villages and main buildings. Each village has its own small pool. The main pool is near the food court area. The food at the food court was mediocre. We did not eat at the sit down restaurant. The room was a little small, but adequate for the 3 of us. My biggest gripe is that the hotel is too spread out. There is an interhotel bus system to get from one part another. And when you are taking a bus from a theme park back to the hotel, there are way too many bus stops to get back to your village.

Overall, it was a pleasant hotel, but I think we'll go back to the deluxe level next time we are at Disney.

We were not planning on taking a Disney Vacation last year, money was tight but we do try to go to Florida every year and Visit family in Sarasota but things were looking like we might have to skip that year. Just when all looked like no vacation we more +got this discounted Disney coupon in the mail and at first thought it was junk mail. Seeing that the family really wanted to go somewhere I checked into the offer and found that it sounded like a good deal and decided to take a chance. I'm glad we did we had a great time at Disney

The Caribbean Beach Resort was great. The parking was well thought out, the rooms were wonderful and the whole atmosphere of the resort was very Disney. We never needed to use our van unless we left to visit family or shop in town, we used the on site transportation to go everywhere on Disney. We had the meal plan as well which was fantastic we could eat just about anywhere on property, and the food was excellent. The Disney people at the resort were more than helpful and went out of their way several times to help us. We went every day to a theme park in Disney and had a great time, I know the kids wont forget that trip neither will I.

We stayed at Carribean Beach and had a blast. The water play area was fantastic.

We weren't crazy impressed with the amount of shuttles running back and forth to the parks, but other than that, our stay was fantastic.

more +/> We are dying to go back as soon as possible.

My son won a stay at this hotel for an essay contest he participated in through Disney. Normally we stay at Deluxe Resorts at Disney, but we didn't choose our accommodations. The resort was lovely and sprawling. It consisted of villages that more +formed a circle. Our village was Aruba. It's a bit of a walk to get to the main pool and food court/shopping/arcade. We didn't mind, but if it's too far, there is an internal shuttle bus system. Overall, the room and resort were nice, but we still prefer the Deluxe accommodations.

We stayed at the Disney Carribean Beach Resort with our two children 2 and 5. We did the Disney Dining Plan which was fabulous. This allowed us to have meals with different characters every day. The resort was great - rooms were spacious and more +there was a pirate ship themed pool on the grounds. My husband and I took turns using the jogging track the went around the lake on the property. The lake even has a small sandy beach area and several playgrounds for the kids. The dining area on site was also really nice with several choices in a dining room atmosphere. I would definitely return to this resort in the future.

We have stayed at other Disney Resorts, however the overall Caribbean feel of this resort was a plus. The pool area definitely catered to our kids needs. To get kids out of the pool was a challenge, but a good challenge. I was happy they enjoyed it. more +I could not say enough of how great the staff was. Our room dining and resort area was very clean. I think the deal breaker between this resort and other Disney resorts was the pool area. The kids enjoyed it a lot and although my husband and I were there, there was a lifeguard available as in other Disney resorts. For us safety was very important. The area was safe and the transportation available to the Disney parks was great. I recommend this hotel to families.

To us the Caribbean Beach Resort was just not worth the extra money. It was nice, clean, beautiful grounds, wonderful pools. However, the added expense above Disney's Value resorts and other non-Disney hotels in the area was just not worth it. I more +am very middle of the road in my opinions with this place... it's hard not to like being so beautiful.

The resort is HUGE, and the main building not very convenient unless you want to pay extra for a preferred room close to the pool and main building.

Disney's bus service was average, we had much better results at other Disney resorts. It was quite annoying to get on a bus at our stop, then have to ride around to the other bus stops to pick up additional guests before leaving the resort. Not a HUGE problem, but it could be a bit annoying. We never waited more than 30 minutes for a bus, but I seem to remember in past Disney trips not waiting more than 10 minutes. The biggest annoyance was seeing 4 buses for the same one park go by while you were waiting for a totally different one.

Housekeeping was not good. They were not horrible, but middle of the road. One day they totally missed cleaning our room. We were supposed to have bedrails in the room for our kid's bed, but they were not there. I called and asked housekeeping to drop them off, and I was told it might be a little bit. 4 hours later they were not there, I called again to cancel (my kids were already asleep). 20 minutes later a woman was banging down our door yelling unrecognizable English. She woke the kids and then when I told her we canceled them, all she did was set the bedrails by the door and said Tip? Are you kidding me? Wow. I let it roll of my back and put the kids back to sleep.

Beds were comfy, but small (full size, not queen) - for that price I would hope you would at least get Queen size! TV was nice (new flat panel) and the mini-fridge is very helpful to have. I like that. Double sinks in the bathroom were very nice to have.

The food court was not great, but not really horrible. We have stayed at the Pop Century and loved that food court there, where there seemed to be much more selection. The CBR's food court was also always seemingly packed, but only b/c it seemed SO small for this size of resort. Even during off times for meals it seemed busy, but like I said that was a size issue for sure. I of course would never expect gourmet meals at a food court (very much mall type food), but I would expect a bigger selection for the size and price of resort. Especially for the kids - I think there were only 3-4 options. The cashiers were quick and friendly and it was doable with minor/small annoyance.

Overall, if you don't mind a HUGE resort (and paying the extra $$$) and want beautiful grounds to spend your time on - this is your place. For us, we will go back to the Pop Century (Value class) next time. On a Disney vacation we do not spend much time in the hotel, but when we do we just want a clean place to stay. The pool was AWESOME, that I am sure of... but the pools/play areas at the Value resorts do the job just as well.

We took my son to the Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney to celebrate his 4th birthday. We reserved one of the pirate-themed rooms at the resort. It was everything my son could have wanted in a hotel room, it is really a standard size hotel room with more +2 queen beds, double sinks, a shower/tub combo and mini fridge, but everything was in the room was based on the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. The beds were pirate ships, the refrigerator was concealed in a wooden barrel, there was a treasure chest for storage, a carving of The Black Pearl in the shower and the curtain that separates the vanity area from the rest of the room had the skull and crossbones on it. It was a very cool room according to my 4 year old.

We spent most of our time at the pool. There were two areas; a pirate ship themed splash park for the younger crowd and a large swimming pool with two water slides and beach entry area. Adjacent to the pool is the food court, there are several choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we had pizza from the pizzeria for dinner and we had breakfast also. Neither were exceptional meals, but they were good.

The hotel has beautiful grounds with a walking path all around a lake, we enjoyed the walk to and from the pool even though it was about 10 minutes. We stopped and played on the small playgrounds and sat in the hammocks while our son played in the sand on the little beach area.

We had a great time during our mini-stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

The Caribbean Beach hotel was another great hotel to stay at while staying on the Disney property. The ease of getting from one area to the next on the property was just awesome.

The dining plan is always a plus when staying on the more +Disney property and the food is great especially the restaurants in Epcot. My kids enjoy the different cultures and restaurants of each country and trying the different foods from around the world. The rides were great and spending time as a family and getting away from the everyday worries of the world.

I would recommend taking a week long Disney vacation to anyone with kids or without. Disney World is a magical place and not only for the kids but for the adults and the kids at heart. We enjoy Disney no matter how often we may go back year after year. So far all of the Disney hotel that we have stayed at seem to just keep better and better and we tend to try and move up from value to moderate status in the hotel category. Caribbean Beach was a great hotel to stay at and we enjoyed every moment at our visit at Disney World.

While on vacation we stayed at the Grand Floridian Hotel but on our last day we stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I thought all of the buildings were really neat looking. I did not get a chance to really venture out and see much but there more +was a swimming pool and a park by a small lake of water. My kids had a great time. It was closest to Downtown Disney and very close to many restaurants. It also was not hard to book the room.

We had avoided staying on site at Disney due to the costs. We have visited the Orlando area several times and this time a package deal made staying on-site affordable. We were originally booked at Disney's Port Orleans but an even better package more +offer came about and we moved our reservation to Caribbean Beach Resort. We are glad we did. Our room was spacious. The refrigerator was nice to have. The curtain dividing off the bath area from the beds was nice as well.

We ate breakfast 5 out of our 7 days at the Food Court. It was reasonable food court food. We were on the Disney Dining Plan and liked getting two beverages. One went with us to the parks. We had a rental car but only used it twice. The Disney Bus Transportation was a nice break from driving. It also allowed our party to split up and still feel safe. The main pool area was a hit with our son. He made new friends there and had a great time swimming. We all enjoyed the arcade. the only downside was the size of the resort. It was a long walk from our rooms in Aruba to the main area but there are internal buses that would take you there if you were patient.

We would stay at Caribbean Beach resort again.
