Meadow Pool and Play Areas
Renovated in 2009, the Meadow Swimmin' Pool, located near the Bike Barn, features an Aquatic splash and slide zone for smaller children as well as a whirling tube slide for older guests. The pool features regular lifeguard-led activities like "Wiffle Ball" and weekend "Swimmin' Hole Jamborees." There's a separate shallow kiddie pool and a hot tub, too. Swim diapers are required for non-potty-trained children (available at resort Trading Posts). Morning arts and crafts sessions are held under the adjacent pavilion and nearby, and there's a sand volleyball court, space for field games, tennis courts and a shaded playground. An additional playground is located near the 1300 loop nearby. Pool hours are 7 a.m. to midnight and lifeguard hours vary by the season.

Stationed near the cabins, there is also quiet Wilderness pool, open from 7 a.m. to midnight daily. Lifeguard hours vary.

Fort Wilderness Arcades
Located in the Meadow Recreation Complex, the small Daniel Boone's Wilderness arcade features around 15 games. It's open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Davy Crockett's Wilderness Arcade, located at the back of Pioneer Hall, is a multi-level arcade offering nearly 20 games. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to midnight.

Bike Barn
Between the Meadow Swimmin' Pool and the Campfire Program, the resort boat and bike works offers an extensive fleet of bikes for rental, along with canoes and kayaks and cane fishing poles for use on canals. Bike rentals are by the hour or by the day, and baby bike seats, bikes with training wheels and lockers are available. Tennis and shuffleboard (courts nearby) equipment is complimentary with a resort Key Card. The Barn opens at 9 a.m. daily and closing times vary by the season, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Wilderness Back Trail Adventure
For ages 16 and up, two-hour backwoods adventure tours provide a behind-the-scenes look at Fort Wilderness via Segway, with a generous infusion of Disney trivia. Tours depart from the Bike Barn Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Call 407-939-8687 for reservations.

Fort Wilderness Archery Lessons
Available to guests ages 6 and up, lessons are offered behind the Bike Barn Thursday to Saturday at 2:45 p.m. For reservations, call 407-939-7529.

Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long
At the best campfire program on Walt Disney World property, your kids can sing along with cast members and fellow guests, and cavort with Chip 'N Dale. A star-lit showing of a Disney movie follows. The daily event is free. The Chuck Wagon Snack bar sells S'more fixings. These items are also available at the camp stores, at an inflated price -- save money by bringing your own. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can test your luck in a game of "Trail Blazin' Bingo."

Tri-Circle-D Ranch
At this corral and stable where the Magic Kingdom horses are housed, your kids can chat with a caretaker, view the horses or take a pony ride. There's no longer a petting farm and petting and feeding of horses is not permitted, but you're welcome to visit and take pictures.

Pony rides for ages 2 to 8 are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Riders must be 80 pounds or under, and reservations are not required.

Guests ages 9 and up and at least 48-inches tall, (maximum weight 250 pounds) can take a 45-minute trail ride, departing from the Trail Blaze Corral. Closed-toe shoes are required. Call 407-939-7529 for reservations.

Horse-drawn wagon rides depart from Pioneer Hall at 7 and 9:30 pm daily, and special fireworks viewing rides leave at 9:30 p.m. on select nights. The 45-minute rides do not required reservations. Horse-drawn carriage rides depart from Pioneer Hall from 5:30 to 10 p.m. daily. Excursions are 25 minutes. Also available for Haunted Halloween Carriage Rides (October, from 7:30 to 10:30) and Holiday Sleigh Rides (Christmas Season). Call 407-939-7529 for advance reservations or 407-824-2832 for same day reservations.

Pioneer Hall Playground
Designed for ages 2 to 12, this playground features one of the few standalone swing sets (baby swings included!) on Disney property, as well as a climb-and-slide structure, and is conveniently located next to Pioneer Hall -- the site of the Hoop-Dee-Do dinner show.

Fort Wilderness Marina and Clementine's Beach
Situated on a sandy stretch of beach overlooking Bay Lake, the resort marina offers motorized boat rentals, from SeaRaycers to pontoons. Nearby, you'll find a sand volleyball court, lounge chairs and a few hammocks where you can watch the Electrical Water Pageant pass by (9:45 p.m.), followed by the nightly Wishes fireworks show. Swimming is not permitted. Marina hours vary by the season and lockers are available. Across the lake at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre at Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can sign up for waterskiing, wakeboarding or parasailing sessions.
