We have 4 children [ages: 8, 6, 4 and one infant] and the cabins allowed us to really stretch out space wise and enjoy ourselves. The bedroom had a double bed plus bunk beds and the living room had a Murphy bed that pulled down from the wall. The more +full kitchen with stove, dishwasher and fridge were a huge plus. Too bad our stay was not long enough to make full use of all the amenities. We plan to book a longer Disney vacation [9-10 days] next year and will DEFINITELY stay in Disney's Ft. Wilderness cabins. There is enough to do right in Disney's "wilderness" that there is no need to go to the parks every day to find some fun. You can go to the parks every other day [or every 2nd or 3rd day] & enjoy time in the "wilderness" on rest days. There is a petting zoo, bike trail [they rent bikes & all sorts of stuff like rowboats]. The pool is awesome with daily activities like limbo, hula hoop & dance contests. And, last but not least, there is a nightly campfire sing-along with Chip & Dale & outdoor movie. This is a great place to have fun with your family without breaking the bank. You don't even need to rent a car to stock the fridge: order groceries from netgrocer.com and they deliver. We can't wait to go back.

Fort Wilderness is fantastic. So much to do from the beach, boating, biking, petting zoo, pools, playgrounds, or horseback riding. We actually could have forgotten about the Disney Parks and spent our time just here. The Hoop de do Review was more +awesome-a super show-a bit expensive but worth trying once. Mickeys BarBQ is also a neat character meal. The rooms are also very nice and the pool was a lot of fun. The slides were a hit. Loved that the boat took you right to Magic Kingdom--no waiting for buses. Although the buses were ok the boat was much faster. Definitely would go back--especially when they offer FL resident rates!

Staying at a cabin in Fort Wilderness was much fun! There was so much to do--we even missed going to the parks one day to take part in some of the activities in the campground. There is a beach and a pool, several playgrounds a petting zoo and more +pony rides for the little ones. Older ones can take a trail ride around the campground. At the beach we rented little motor boasts and raced around the bay. The pool was recently renovated and there is a slide which was a great hit with the kids. Our favorite was the Campfire with Chip and Dale. You can roast marshmallows(next time we will bring our own--they are a little pricey for the smores) and sing with Chip and Dale. They come around to see everyone. Then they play a movie on the big screen. Another not to miss is the de Doo Revue. A great dinner show. Even the little one was entertained the entire time. They also have Mickeys BarbQ which is a character meal. Really cute! Overall it was a fun and busy trip. The price was reasonable b/c we has 6 people and the cabins can accommodate 6--so it worked out well.
