The Grand Floridian has a wide selection of dining options for a Disney resort, offering everything from a casual cafe to a AAA five-diamond restaurant. Casual grab-and-go type fare as well as grocery items can be found at Gasparilla Grill and Games, a 24-hour counter service restaurant offering grilled chicken, sandwiches, pizzas, fresh bagels, muffins, and soft-serve yogurt with a nice selection of toppings. Kids love the arcade games located next to the indoor seating or dining outside on the patio overlooking the marina.
Grand Floridian Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dine on popular items like the rich onion-soup, sandwiches, and juicy burgers as you overlook the gardens and courtyard. Children receive a coloring page and crayons and have a chance to become "Artist of the Day" by turning in their completed artwork at the end of their meals. Winners receive balloons and a certificate at their door the next day, and the honor of having their artwork in one of the frames on the entryway table.
1900 Park Fare has an old-fashioned theme-park atmosphere and is the place for character breakfasts and dinners, albeit with a bent toward little girls. Mary Poppins and friends visit with guests, pose for pictures, and sign autographs at a breakfast buffet, while Cinderella and her stepsisters host the nightly dinner buffet. The restaurant's centerpiece is Big Bertha, a century-old band organ originally built in Paris.
Located on the second floor of the main building, Citricos was added to the Grand Floridian in the fall of 1997 and offers a market-fresh menu that reflects the flavors of France. The restaurant features an exhibition kitchen, rotisserie cooking and an enticing dessert and pastry display. Children can choose from beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes, grilled chicken, or a macaroni & cheese dinner.
Narcoossee's menu focuses on seafood, from steamed Penn Cove mussels to grilled Chilean sea bass and fresh Maine lobster, boiled and served with corn grits and coriander butter. Children's menu items include oven-baked fish, Filet Mignon, and cheeseburgers, plus Nemo cupcakes for dessert. Due to its waterfront location, guests dining in the restaurant have fantastic views of Seven Seas Lagoon, including Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks display (try to schedule dinner reservations accordingly).
Victoria & Albert's, located right in the resort, is central Florida's only AAA five-diamond restaurant and one of the most romantic at Disney with soft harp music and a gourmet menu that is customized daily, not to mention each lady receives a long-stemmed rose.
Reservations for all restaurants are suggested and can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
