We have stayed at OKW 5 times. This time around it was certainly showing its age and in need of new carpet and painting. We secured our room through a Disney Vacation Club owner by renting their points and saved over 50% off the Disney Site price. more + Highly recommend the 1 Bedroom suites. You will get a separate bedroom with king bed, a pull out sleeper for the kids in the living area, washer/dryer and a full kitchen. The room is over 900 Sq ft and makes for a great downtime between parks.

Take advantage of the kitchen which is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates and utensils. Shop on your way from the airport and save money by doing breakfast in the room. The refrigerator is full size so you can stock up on water to take to park and lots of snacks.

Take a look at the resort map before you go. Some of the buildings are especially quiet and overlook the water or the golf course. If you overlook the water, beware that the water taxis will pass about once an hour.

Olivia's is the onsite sit down restaurant. Only marginal for dinner. Use your car and drive over to one of the other resorts to each or Downtown Disney.

The resort has a good pool and game room for the kids. The shop on site has basic food, wine, beer and some resort clothing. Everything is Disney priced so you will want to keep the shopping here to a minimum.

Rent a car and leverage the free parking at the parks that you get from staying on Disney property. Drive to all the parks but the Magic Kingdom and save a ton of time over waiting for the Disney buses. You will be able to get around so easily; you can make it back to the hotel for an afternoon break or nap without spoiling the day.

So for plenty of room to spread out, the money saving kitchen with frig, and a quiet place to chill pick OKW.

My name is Sarah. I have 12 grand children, and 8 great-grand children. I have always wanted to go to Disney World because I've heard so much about all of the fun times people have while vacationing at Walt Disney World.

May 31st is more +one of grand children' birthday and my daughter always take her children on a vacation for their birthday, and this time she asked if I wanted to go just to get away since I had never gone; of course I agreed. Boy! was I happy.

We stayed at the Ole Key West Resorts, a place that I can truly say is Heaven to me.

This is such a beautiful resort, very clean, and a great location.I was surprised that the transportation to the Theme Parks was free, and how often the buses came. I have stayed at some hotels, but, I have never met a staff like the staff at this resort. They are very friendly, and caring. The entire place is spotless, and the pool area, I found to be top notch.

Another thing I appreciated about this resort is, there is a variety store, which sold many items as one would find in a regular grocery store, and a restaurant with some of the best food.

I have gone to this resort twice, because the children love it as well. There is a play ground area, with sand where the children made sand castles.

I love Old Key West, and I would stay here every chance I got. The amenities are above and beyond what I have experienced at other places.

Thank you for this opportunity to write about a resort that have the best accommodations ever.

We are the proud parents of eleven children. For so many years our vacations consisted of mom staying home with the youngest ones and dad taking day trips with the older ones. Now that we have one high schooler and one middle school teen we are more +finding that our options are broadening. We have taken advantage of stays at Disney's Old Key West resort for a number of years now and have enjoyed each stay. It is one of the quieter resorts but there are many activities available to families. The main pool is not too large that it is raucous but small enough to feel safe and familiar. There are accessory pools available throughout the resort that allow for solitary early morning dips in the pool or later in the day cooling sessions. The theme parks are just a bus ride away and we always take the ferry to Downtown Disney a few times during our stay, usually to take in a movie or shop in the many unique stores. We never have to get in our hot car except to do some food shopping...kids never stop eating! The staff is very attentive and the grounds are exceptional, clean and well-kept. Once, we found that our washer wasn't working and within the hour it was replaced. Yes, the early days of vacationing were few and far between but these days at Disney can only be described as wonderfully relaxing for our family.
