Delpinus
This is the only hotel in the region where you can actually swim with dolphins in the resort's pool. Four daily programs at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m., let folks get up close and personal with the dolphins. Called Delphinus, watch the magical creatures splash, twirl and play alongside you in the water.
Explorer's Club
Nearby, the Explorer's Club is available daily for children ages 3 to 12 years old. Led by youthful counselors, children will compete in sandcastle competitions, climb the rock wall, stage plays in their own theater, create arts and craft projects based on Mexican themes, jump on the ocean trampoline, and watch movies on the big screen. The Explorer's Club is open until 10 p.m., perfect for parents who want a quiet dinner together. There's even an opportunity for children to spend an overnight in a tent on the beach with counselors. In case you need to be contacted, a pager is given to parents.
Pool
The resort's pool is moderately sized with a swim-up bar. The Dreams Team staff keeps families busy with pool volleyball, water aerobics, Spanish and dance lessons, Mexican bingo, darts contests, and other fun events during the course of the day.
Beach
Over at the beach, you can grab snorkeling gear, or take one of the Hobie cats or kayaks out for a spin. For an additional fee, the watersports center can arrange scuba diving excursions, banana boat rides, jet skiing, waterskiing, deep sea fishing, and sunset sailboat rides.
Nightly Entertainment
There are nightly shows, featuring music, dance and magic at the Lagoon Area and Desires Bar, starting between 8 and 9 pm. Depending on the weather, there is usually a nightly film at the lagoon area before the show. Also check the daily schedule for live music at the Rendezvous Bar and House Music at Desires until 1 a.m.
