About Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa
All across the Yucatan Peninsula, you'll see signs advertising the chance to swim with dolphins. It's become the new rage to get in a pool with these friendly creatures. But there's only one hotel in the region where you can actually swim with dolphins in the resort's pool, Dreams Cancun. Four times daily, families have the opportunity to glide in the water and learn about the dolphins.
Outside the dolphin pool, there's a lot to like about Dreams Cancun. It occupies one of the most picturesque locales on Cancun's hotel strip, Punta Cancun, where the beach comes to a point. The expansive stretch of sand reaches a breakwater, offering views of the entire strip and all the mega-resorts that line those white sands. The other side of the hotel, past the pool area, features a quiet, much narrower strip of sand. Many shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance of the resort.
Dreams is housed in one of the oldest properties in Cancun, with a mix of rooms that have all been recently refurbished. The five-story "pyramid" rooms are set in a long structure that resembles a Mayan pyramid. They have spacious balconies that overlook the dolphins in the pool. A 16-story tower is perfectly perched atop the sandy point, offering views of the ocean from both sides of a corner room. This being a Dreams resorts, expect all-inclusive dining without the need for nightly reservations, wristbands and silly towel cards.
