Overview

The new Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica opened in November 2014 and the new property offers the brand’s signature all-inclusive vacation for families with kids of all ages. Enjoy elegant accommodations, with king and double beds, patios or balconies, free Wi-Fi and ocean views. Plus, complimentary in-room mini bars are refreshed daily with soda, juice, water and more. The resort has direct beach access, as well as two pools, one with a jungle waterslide, a fitness center, water sports and more. Kids between 3 and 12 can take advantage of activities just for them at the Explorer’s Club and teens, ages 13 to 17, can enjoy their own hang out at the Core Zone Teens Club, which has day and night events and activities. The family can always come together for breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the eight restaurants, including El Patio, Himitsu, Oceana, Portofino, Seaside Grill, the World Cafe, Barefoot Grill and Coco Cafe, and parents can enjoy cocktails and spirits at one of the five bars/lounges. Evening parties and entertainment are always available for the whole family, too. All amenities, dining and activities are included in the all-inclusive price.

Pleasant Stay at Las Mareas

by Marco B

Resort is very lush and retains the natural setting of the native land. Every amenity is within reasonable walking distance. The beach has volcanic sand and the ocean is clean. Not much to see while scuba diving but there are ancient lava flows, various exotic sea creatures and sting rays...be careful not to step on one. The beach is public so there is no life guard and the vendors tend to be a bit annoying. However we met a few who were genuine and had serious deals on excursions. The only excursion we took was to Nicaragua to see the lava inside the crater of Masaya volcano. This was well worth it and a once in a lifetime experience. Ask for Tony Expeditions...
The food was excellent as the fish was very fresh and the beef was superb. Sea Bass at the Mexican Restaurant and the Rib Eye at Seaside Grill...
The rooms are updated and very clean. Each has a balcony and hot tub with a view.
The only downer was the communications aspect. We had to ask several times for certain amenities and resolutions. These were not taken care of timely. Other than that I can see my family and I returning as we all enjoyed ourselves with sun, beach, eating and relaxing...

This resort has definitely set the bar high. Picturesque, absolutely beautiful, peaceful and the staff members are amazing.

Some of our favourite people are
