Each day a guide to activities called the Sundial is distributed and gives an overview of activities for both children and adults.
Explorer's Club for Kids
Exclusively for children ages 3 to 12 years old, this play area includes an indoor game room with TV, video games and arts and crafts area. Scheduled fun activities include sandcastle building, piata competitions, nature programs and movies on the beach. Beepers are provided to parents, in case they need to be contacted. The club is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Core Zone Teens Club
For the older kids, ages 13 to 17, the Core Zone is open from 9 a.m. to midnight. Here, nightly entertainment, daily activities and a vast array of sports and games are all geared to teens, with an Entertainment Team to ensure safety and responsibility while the teens take part in all the activities that are offered. Teens can enjoy Wii, Xbox, PlayStation, batting cages, pool, table games and foosball.
Pools
Fun in the sun is a key element of relaxation and enjoyment of a Dreams holiday. The resort's recent multi-million dollar renovation includes the addition of a new larger pool as well as enhancements to the existing pools. The pools are simply gorgeous, were immaculate during my entire stay, and are enhanced with waterfalls, trees and flowers. In total there are three pools in the center of the resort, as well as a private pool for Preferred Club guests. There is also a hot tub for Preferred Club guests.
There are ample lounge chairs, and during the day the recreation staff organizes games and other pool fun.
Beach
The beach here is among the best that I have experienced. White sand, turquoise calm water and gentle breezes make this beach truly a dream. There are ample shady huts on the beach, and dozens of lounge chairs. Another highlight is an inflatable trampoline in the shallow part of the ocean that was a hit with both young and young at heart. Guests can swim, sail, snorkel, windsurf in the blue ocean and even take an introductory dive lesson for free as part of their Dreams experience.
