Wonderful Stay!

by reecest1979

In town to celebrate my birthday. We stayed 4 nights in a King Suite with Balcony in the San Fernando Tower. This was my first time at a Drury hotel and WOW this was fantastic. The room was HUGE and the balcony was great. The staff left a card, bottle of wine and chocolates as a birthday gift. What a nice surprise and sweet gesture!
The rooms in the Tower require two separate sets of elevators so there is quite a bit of walking to do. The 5:30 kick back was nice as well as the 3 free drinks. Nothing super fancy but a nice option to have. The views at night from the outside pool deck are breathtaking as well as the view of the Cathedral from our balcony. We didnt rent a car and took a Lyft to the hotel from the airport. Everything we wanted to see downtown was within walking distance and we chartered a tour of the city to see the other sites. There are some homeless people in the area but we always felt safe walking around the hotel and the Riverwalk. The riverwalk is kept very clean and there is city staff walking around and offering help if needed. I very much enjoyed our stay and will book a stay at this hotel when I am back in the area!

Great Friendcation Spot!

We took a birthday trip with my girlfriend and her husband to San Antonio. Our stay was a tad complicated, with them arriving earlier than us, but using our card for the transaction. Laura and Sara were both incredibly helpful throughout the process, and even gifted the birthday girl a beautiful bottle of wine and chocolates (of which I totally ate while she was in the bathroom, yum! Sorry, not sorry.). Check-in was super smooth and my husband's buddy was won over by the three free cocktails with the "5:30 Kickback" hosted each night. They have a bounty of goodies and easily-forgotten items available for purchase in their Pantry. Breakfast was well-prepared and everything tasted fresh. We loved our housekeeper, Irma. She was very positive and made sure we had everything we needed for our party weekend. Drury Hotels have always treated us very well. This place is super clean! Thank you!
