The indoor water park at Dunes Village is one of the primary attractions at this coastal resort. It's the only indoor water park in Myrtle Beach, and it's a fun aquatic fantasy for youngsters who enjoy splashing and playing in the water -- and especially for kids who love swimming pools but aren't keen on the ocean. The 30,000-square-foot water park has a 250-foot lazy river, water basketball courts, giant waterslides, hot tubs, a kiddie pool play area and more.
Dunes Village does not offer supervised childcare through the resort. But kids can take part in organized seasonal activities, which are usually offered in the summer months from Monday through Friday during the hours of 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. (check out the Dunes Village Web site for up-to-date activity schedules). Children ages 5 and up are eligible to participate in organized play. All kids must be accompanied by an adult. Activities range from arts to and crafts to water activities. Guests at Dunes Village have easy access to long, idyllic stretches of South Carolina beach; a boardwalk that runs straight from the hotel to the sand makes getting to the beach a breeze. Watch Atlantic sunrises and enjoy pleasant views of the water from the oceanside Jacuzzi, pool deck or swings. The resort also offers roomy cabanas with two lounge chairs, a ceiling fan and a TV on resort property near the beach. Cabanas may be rented for a fee.
