Flew from Minneapolis to Denver with DH and DD (age 9) and stayed 1 night before boarding the Amtrak train to San Francisco. I am a fan of Embassy Suites and this one did not disappoint. The location was great with Whole Foods across the street and more +several restaurants in a strip mall located next to the hotel.

The indoor pool was nice, nothing special, but adequate. The whirlpool did not have enough water it in which caused a lot of splash when the jets were turned on. I used it as a soaking tub instead and it was fine.

The manager's reception is a bit overrated - there was a long line in the bar to get a drink and the snacks were already gone when we got there 30 minutes after it started.

The two room suite idea is so perfect for families - even though we have only 1 child it is so nice to have the extra space. I like the open courtyard concept with all the rooms overlooking it - there was a wedding when we were there and it was fun to watch the ceremony from high up outside our room.

Staff was very helpful. We needed an early cab to the train station and they helped arrange that. We did not have the breakfast as we needed to leave before it started. The hotel is about 8 miles from the train station and although many streets were blocked due the Race for the Cure, the taxi driver was very knowledgeable in his directions and got us to the station in plenty of time.
