Parents love the Embassy Suites chain of hotels, and for good reason: for a reasonable price you get two rooms in your suite (yes, with a living room door that closes!), a small kitchenette (little fridge, little microwave and coffee maker) and a hot all-you-can eat breakfast with a made-to-order waffle and omelet bar. It gets even better with a Manager's Reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, and a hula show. On the fourth floor you'll find the beautiful Grand Lanai, which has a heated swimming pool, a spa, a children's pool, a spacious sun deck, tables with shade umbrellas and shaded seating. Snag cocktails and snacks from the Pankini Bar. This hotel is a five-minute walk to Waikiki Beach.
