Overview

Located in the Catskills, the Emerson Resort & Spa is a destination resort with a top-notch spa, retail stores and, of all things, the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope — a great photo op for the family! The resort also has three onsite restaurants, including the Emerson Cafe, a casual spot for coffee, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads and other light fare.

Guests have the option to stay at The Inn or The Lodge, the latter of which is best for families. In fact, The Lodge has spacious two-floor Family Suites, with one bedroom downstairs and the other bedroom located upstairs — ensuring a little privacy for the whole family. Both bedrooms have one king bed each, and in addition, there’s a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area — meaning these units can sleep six guests total.

The Emerson Resort & Spa puts families close to outdoor adventures galore, from skiing to hiking. Inquire about the hotel’s packages, which include a Babymoon Package.

Girls Trip

We had an absolutely fabulous time at The Emerson Resort & Spa. From the minute we arrived we felt the stress of our city lives just fade away. Our room in the Inn was very spacious and very nice. Erika at the front desk was lovely and gave us a little tour of The Lodge.
The Spa is a must. Jeanne was fantastic.
I had the Italian Mud Wrap, and it was great.
We all had our treatments and utilized the sauna and steam rooms. Everything was super clean.
But the best was, the hot tub. The crisp air with mountain back drop while laughing and chatting in the hot tub, was so much fun. I was pleasantly surprised at how really good the restaurant is. The food selection and staff, especially our waiter Paul, all great!
We did the Kaleidoscope and nature walk.
Shopped in the charming stores and enjoyed the nearby town of Woodstock.

I will definitely be returning .
PS I loved all the Ralph Waldo Emerson quotes around the resort. Nice touch

Lovely resort

Probably the largest resort on the Catskills Scenic Byway - it is a very large property with playground area, outdoor swimming pool. It offers lodge rooms (rustic) and inn rooms (more modern). We had a lodge room - actually a suite with 2 rooms and a small deck that overlooked a creek. Room had fridge & microwave.

Note: our room had a ramp that went from the bedroom to the living room & bath. This ramp would have been difficult to manage for a person with limited mobility.
