Two parks in one, Epcot delivers the thrill of the future, along with a thrilling immersion into the cultures of the world in a one-of-a-kind World Showcase.

Opened in 1982, the 305-acre park was the second of four Walt Disney World theme parks to debut, and is three times the size of its chronological predecessor, Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. From original rides like Spaceship Earth, a narrated journey through time in a massive 16 million pound geosphere, to perennially popular rides like Soarin', Mission Space and Test Track, Epcot's Future World attractions make a super-impressive impact.

In the World Showcase, a compilation of 11 nations, families will enjoy a feast for the senses. From amazing acrobats in China to creamy chocolate croissants in France to mariachi music in Mexico and inspiring anthems belted out by patriotic voices in America, kids will love the international fare and the fun-loving flare of live entertainment.

Recent park improvements include a re-imagined and technologically immersive Test Track and a new interactive scavenger hunt featuring characters from Phineas and Ferb.

To fully experience Epcot with kids, plan to spend an entire day or two split days there. Spend a portion of your visit logging time on the rides, attractions and educational experiences in Future World, then dedicate the remainder of your visit to the World Showcase and its immersive landscape of cultures and flavors. No matter how you portion your time, however, don't miss the nightly creation-themed show, Illuminations: Reflections of the Earth, which lights up the park with spectacular fireworks, fountains and music.
