Nice Hotel but strange set up

by ripkens8

We stayed at this hotel in August 2019 for three nights. The setting was nice with palm Trees outside and very close to Burbank Airport. When we checked in there were 3 hangers in the closet and no cups to drink out of for brushing your teeth. We called and asked for cups and more hangers. One hour went by and no cups or hangers were delivered. There is a small kitchenette in the room and you can ask for dishes if you want to cook something in the oven or microwave, but this hotel could have provided some clear plastic drinking cups in the bathroom. They finally showed up and gave us more hangers and some coffee cups. This hotel is an extended stay and we learned that they only clean the rooms once a week. You can ask for fresh towels daily, but you have to bring your used towel to the lobby and exchange them for a fresh one. The continental breakfast consists of a large piece of furniture in the lobby with drawers. They open the drawers in the morning which reveal some granola bars and some instant packets of oatmeal and tea and coffee packets. I think this hotel should have a real breakfast room and not just samples to give out. We ended up going to Harry's located a few minutes away. Also, there is an IHOP across from Harry's too. Many people had to come down to the lobby because the service was so slow. My friend stayed there and she had no cups or hangers in her room. She asked for them and never received them. The next morning she tried to get hangers and someone from the staff told her there was a box out in the middle of the parking lot with hangers in it. So she went out and picked up a few hangers for her room and brought them back. A very weird set up. This hotel needs to get their act together professionally right away. This type of bad service is uncalled for. This hotel needs to have a proper breakfast room. Also, they need to buy a supply of those clear plastic cups that should be in the room when guests arrive so they can drink water and brush their teeth. They also need to supply those hangers that you can't steel and provide enough of them for guest to hang up their clothes on. Because of no hangers and no cups, people are gathered around the hotel lobby and asking for these items which are so simple to get. This would be a great hotel but it's so unprofessionally run, I will not stay there again. Brian & Joyce Granville

Very happy - great value for the $

Happy stay, booked for a week. Getting a kitchenette in Los Angeles that accepts dogs was key for a family of 4 (well 5 with dog). Great location for us not too far from the beach with grocery store basically in the parking lots for stocking up on required food for meals.
