Default New Years in Florida

We are looking to go to a fun and family friendly New Years in Florida. We live in Orlando and prefer to go to a beach along either coast but south of us. We want to be in an area that has a lot of lights and festivities going on as well. Our son is 8 and enjoys being active. We have thought about Marco Island or Sanibel but not sure.
