Another option is to stay in one of the on property hotels. Your room key acts as a front of the line pass without having to pay extra! The rooms are pricier than the budget hotels nearby but compared to $600 for a family of four and with the time savings, they are a steal. Plus you get some other perks like discounts on parking and food. We live in Tampa and will stay the night just to get this perk!

Hotel property front of the line passes are only in Orlando I believe. We bought passes for the first day we were there (Universal Orlando). Unfortunately they didn't cover all the rides, such as the main ride in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The rides we did use them on definitely sped up the wait time, but we were still in a line for at least 15-30 minutes in most cases. (Still much better than an hour).
