There will definitely be kids dressed up. No worries there. Here's a link for more info:

Default Crowds

It is super crowded this season! If you have flexibility, try to avoid any day that California Adventure is having their trick - or treat parties - because Disneyland gets VERY crowded.

In any case, kids can certainly dress up to go to Disney - they'll fit right in!

Have fun!

We spent last weekend at Disneyland resort, and it was wonderful!

Disneyland's Halloween decorations nearly rival the beautiful Christmas holiday decorations, and the park offers a few new great Halloween treats for guests! There's a fabulous fireworks show, featuring Jack Skellington and Zero, with amazing lighting effects and projections on the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Space Mountain has had a thematic transformation to Ghost Galaxy, just for the month of October, and it's scary good fun!

Of course, there's the elaborate Haunted Mansion Holiday, with the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay, where Christmas and Halloween holidays collide, with most interesting results!

Throughout the park, there are lovely carved pumpkins, starting with the enormous Goofy, Donald, and Pluto pumpkins above the entrance gates! The Big Thunder Ranch is all decked out in autumnal splendor.

Then, over in Disney's California Adventure, on select nights, there's the separate-ticket event, Mickeys Halloween Treat, which is trick or treating fun for everyone!

What I love about the Disneyland Parks in October are all the wonderful decorations. Giant themed Pumpkins glow at night, the Haunted Mansion turns into the world of Jack Skellington and his friends, and the windows are decorated with the Halloween season in mind. It is one of our favorite times to go and usually find it less crowded in the beginning of the month. Sometimes with no wait for lines at all. We have yet to explore Mickey's Halloween Party, but hope to include that in our plans one stay.
