Mini-moon

by mariafrohlich19

We loved our stay at Gilded for our mini-moon! The staff was informative regarding weather updates, places to go, how to navigate, etc. The iPad was also a great way for use to find amazing places to eat and adventures to take! Oh, and the breakfast - mmm, mmm, mm. Also, there is a bike rental right on site. We still talk about how we wish we were still there.

Disappointing

by heffernannicole

We were extremely excited to stay at the Gilded because of the proximity to downtown but our expectations fell short. This is not a hotel by any means, it really is a bed and breakfast, so if you are expecting even a 3 star experience, go elsewhere!

The bad:
1. You can hear EVERYTHING happening outside of your room. Footsteps, door slams, people talking. The light in the hallway is so bright and shines right into the room
2. The AC in our room was not working, we opened the window which cooled it down, but it was a bit noisy in the morning
3. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment for us. We were expecting a variety of hot plates, tapas as they note on the site. But instead were met with only a few options, almost all pastries, and everything was cold.

For $350 a night in the offseason, it was extremely underwhelming. I would never stay here again or at another "Lark" property.
