This beachfront resort offers families 774 guest rooms and 84 junior suites each with a private balcony or terrace. The resort features a main swimming pool and two pools with children's areas, a main restaurant and three a la carte specialty restaurants, five tennis courts and a variety of water sports at the aquatic activities center. Organized games and activities are available for families and supervised activities for children ages 4 to 12 are available at the mini-club.

We visited the Riveria Maya and stayed with the Grand Bahia Principe. It was a beautiful resort with a lot of entertainment to choose from. They offered a large beach, transportation throughout the resort, a variety of restaurants, adult and kid-friendly atmosphere, and excursions.
