Part of the Mexican-owned Real chain, this all-inclusive property has renovated its accommodations, which include family suites, each with a king bed, two bunk beds and a trundle bed for a maximum occupancy of five. At the Oki Splash Water Park, kids climb aboard a pirate ship and hide to spray water cannons. Teens, 13 to 17, gather at the T-Zone video arcade. The Oki Kids Club offers supervised activities for ages 4 to 12 from 9a.m. to 8 p.m. The resort offers a VIP floor with nightly turndown service and a concierge. Guests can also use the facilities of the sister property, the Gran Caribe Real Playa del Carmen.

We stayed at the Gran Caribe Real in Cancun. We always look for a hotel with a water park for young kids as we have a 5 year old daughter. We have stayed at the Crown Paradise Club in Puerto Vallarta when she was two, which was great b/c it was a small, old fashioned hotel in my view - very quant. We just wanted to relax then.
