Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel. Great location close to the centre of Vienna. Decent and comfortable room. Very good service. Helpful concierge who recommended lovely restaurants. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Visit

by Ponygirlnmh

We had three days at the Grand Hotel Wien and wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was a double with a small balcony overlooking the Kaentner Ring. It could get noisy, but with the window closed, the room was quiet and comfortable. With the drapes drawn, it was so dark we nearly overslept!!
The location is so convenient! A short walk to parks, the Hofburg, the Spanish Riding School (which was our main reason for visiting Vienna), and tons of shopping.
There are lovely cafes and restaurants, including two in the hotel. We only had breakfast on the second floor, and drinks in the downstairs bar, but both were excellent.
The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English which was a plus for my husband.
Loved every minute of our stay and hope to return.
