There are 10 different room configurations to choose from, including over-sized rooms with lofts to three kid-themed suites: KidKamp, Wolf Den and KidCabin, each of which are designed for families with younger children.

Both the Wolf Den Suite, and the tent-themed KidKamp Suite, include a separate in-room sleeping area with rustic handcrafted bunk beds to accommodate two children. We had a KidCabin Suite, which had a log cabin within our room outfitted with bunk beds, a day-bed, and a 20-inch TV with Nintendo.

The remaining room was spacious and included a gas fireplace, sleeper sofa, a four-drawer dresser, a table for two, private balcony (rooms on the first floor have patios), and a queen-size bed that would certainly not put the resort on any "most comfortable beds" list.

In addition, the rooms include a safe, microwave and an efficiency style refrigerator, with a small freezer compartment. The bathrooms seemed surprisingly small with little counter-space for a family of four.

Nintendo games ($6.95 per hour) as well as family-friendly movies ($6.95 - $11.95) can be purchased from your room.

While a particular room assignment cannot be guaranteed, you can have the reservation agent note a preference for a room overlooking the outdoor pool, or one at the end of a hallway far away from kids playing MagiQuest, and therefore quieter for daytime nappers. Since the resort is a smoke-free facility, all rooms are non-smoking.

Families can also choose to stay in one of 10 QuestMaster Suites, where children's MagiQuest wands can manipulate magic chests, lamps, and stars. A stay in these suites includes two wands, and allows guests to gain points playing the game in their suite as well as throughout the resort. This suite also includes two queen beds and a semi-private living area with a full-size sleeper sofa and 27-inch television.

Note: Guests are given wristbands instead of room-keys. One type of band (for parents and older kids) opens guest room doors and allows for charging privileges, while the one given to children does not. Be sure to ask for the adult type of band at check-in for children who will be coming and going from the room on their own.
